New Practice Field - Workers Needed

Below is an email for Neosho Youth Football President Mike Spiva. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the donors that made this possible. It will make our practice facility much better than its current state. I hope to see everyone there tomorrow.

Good afternoon—

As many of you that drive the boulevard daily are aware, our High School practice field is in the process of being re-graded and re-seeded and the process has been moving a bit slowly. Some people have come forward and offered to donate 30,000 SQ FT of sod---which will cover the entire 100 yard practice field in length and approx 30 yards in width. This has come together very quickly—since yesterday in fact, and needs to be done ASAP so that we have 4-5 weeks to get the sod to take root prior to the HS players practicing on it. Anyway, the sod is being delivered at 4PM Thursday, July 2 and we have approx 12 volunteers committed to help. As of this afternoon the HS players have jumped on-board and are recruiting players to assist and the coaches may be on-hand as well. If you are available and willing to help please plan to be at the Rock Garden around 4 PM tomorrow---bring a rake and a shovel if you have them. It will be hot and dirty and we may work until late---it has to be done once we begin! The support has been overwhelming today and the more we have on-hand the quicker and smoother this will go. Family Market will be serving sandwiches to workers for dinner courtesy of Les and his crew. I know this is late notice and will be hard work---many of you are already planning to be there and have assisted in getting us to this point---thank! Anyone else who is available is certainly invited---I think you will be impressed at the support you will see tomorrow! It is a great way to show our support to the school and specifically to the Coaches, players and AD who do so much for us…

No need to call me on this and it is certainly not mandatory…just wanted to let you know that there will be a LARGE group there and I think it will be something special…thanks.
